Tarangire - Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Manyara
7 Days Topi SafariDay 1
Morning depart from your hotel and drive north of Arusha with splendid views of the Rift Valley escarpment and on to Tarangire National Park for game viewing drive followed by a packed lunch.
Tarangire National Park
Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem – a smorgasbord for predators – and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed.
During the rainy season, the seasonal visitors scatter over a 20,000 sq km (12,500 sq miles) range until they exhaust the green plains and the river calls once more. But Tarangire’s mobs of elephant are easily encountered, wet or dry.
The swamps, tinged green year round, are the focus for 550 bird varieties, the most breeding species in one habitat anywhere in the world.Tarangire National Park is famous for the giant baobab trees.
Late after drive out of the park and continue drive to Ngorongoro Highlands.
Dinner and overnight at Country Lodge in Karatu.

Serengeti National Park
Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th world wide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.
Late after noon drive to your Lodge/Camp.
Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Katikati Tented Camp.
Day 3 and 4
Two days exploring the vast Serengeti National Park and its endless plains. Serengeti is also famous for the famous annual animal migrations where millions of wildebeest, thousands of zebras and gazelles grace in the short grass plains. The best time to view the migration is frm December to February where the wildebeests are calving in the southern Serengeti. March to July the wildebeests are In Central Serengeti. August to October in the Western corridor.

The main feature of the NCA include the Ngorongoro Crater, The Serengeti Plains that support about 2.0 millions migratory wildlifespecies of the Serengeti Mara-ecosystem (TAWIRI, 2003) and the catchment forest; the Northern Highland Forest Reserve (NHFR) known as ‘Entim Olturot’ in Maa language. Other important features found in the NCA are the archaeological and palaeontological site located at Oldupai Gorge and the early human foot-prints that were discovered at Alaitole in Ngarusi area. Because of these particular features and the harmonious co-existence between wildlife and people that has existed for many years, NCA was accorded the status of a World Heritage Site and listed as one of the International Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO’s Man and Biosphere Reserve Programme
